Doll Babies!!

I got him a baby doll to play with until his sister gets here. He has been fascinated by babies for awhile now both real and dolls. I want him to practice with the doll before the baby comes:) Daddy isn't too sure about the baby. He informed Bradyn that when his sister comes he can play with her instead!! He has tossed the baby doll a few times so he might need to wait on playing with his sister.
I was trying to get him to pose for me, but he is such a little ham. He wanted to play peek-a-boo instead. He is growing up so fast it is hard to believe that he is 19 1/2 months old. Soon he will be a big brother and my baby boy will be gone:(

New hairdo?

He had just gotten out of the shower so I spiked his hair:) He saw his toothbrush so he just had to brush his teeth. I am so thankful I have a child who loves to brush his teeth. I have heard people say how they have to fight their children to brush their teeth.

He could hear Darrin working outside and kept wanting to go out. So I moved the stepstool by the door and then he could see him. That entertained him for a little while and then he wanted out again. I am going to have a hard time keeping him in this summer.

Ultrasound Picture

I finally got my ultrasound pictures uploaded to the computer. I have a picture of where you can see the little bottom, but he didn't take very clear pictures this time.
We are very excited only 98 more days until d-day, of course that doesn't mean she won't come early. I am hoping a week or two early, anymore than that and I will be scared of problems.
Bradyn is really into babies right now hopefully he loves his little sister as much. He tried picking his 1 month old cousin off the couch the other night so it could be interesting too.

I tried to scan a copy of my sonogram onto the computer, but the scanner is acting up. We went to the Dr yesterday to find out what we are having...IT'S A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just a little excited I can't wait to go shopping. Actually Natalie and I were at the mall last night and I didn't buy one thing I am sure Darrin was very proud:) Back to the baby she is very active they had a hard time measuring her. She looks like she talks alot her mouth was opening and closing constantly. So definitely a girl:) Darrin is excited too there is nothing like Daddy's baby girl, except of course Daddy's baby boy:)

Roseola?!?!?!?!?

What an interesting week this has been! Bradyn had been on antibiotics last week for a bad cold. Then Sat, night he started running a fever it went from 103.8-100.8 with tylenol and motrin. He threw up several times that night and next morning, but would act fine part of the time. He is still running a slight fever, but yesterday we noticed a fine, red rash on his back and stomach. Today it has spread to his face and some on his arms. Several people told me it sounds like roseola...

First Christmas of 2007

We had Christmas with my family last Saturday. It was Micah's first time for Christmas as well as opening presents he did really good for 6 months old. It is so much fun when they are this age to watch them get excited about all the presents. Juliana and Bradyn wanted to help everyone else open their gifts after they were done.
We had a fun time with Melanie and her family, but they had to leave on Tuesday. Melanie said she asked Juliana on the plane if she was ready to see her toys at home and she said "no Ria, Ria" Apparently she must love us even though she doesn't see us very often.

Fireman!

Last Wednesday we dressed Bradyn as a fireman. We stopped by the fire dept. to see Darrin. Darrin bought this outfit before Bradyn was born.

First Haircut

Sunday night we gave him his first haircut. He is almost 17 months old and it was definitely time to cut it. Here are some before and after pictures.

Ouch!!

While we were living in the RV he met the oven and it wasn't a happy occasion. Pictures pretty much say it all. The blister never broke after 4 days so Darrin popped it and it has healed really well not much of a scar at all. The blister is from the seal on the door he didn't know how to let go so he cried until I noticed it. The oven doors in RV's open very easy and he had tried to open it before, but I always stopped him. Unfortunately this time I didn't see him do it.

We went to PA in Sept to see my family. We tried to take pictures of our children. We got some good ones, but a 22 month old, a 15 month old, and a 4 month old don't always cooperate.

Still Moving!!

We have been living in a RV for the past month while our house is being finished. I have alot to be thankful for like a real bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, etc... We were in PA for one of the weeks so that helped break things up. We had a good time with everyone there.

Packing!!

Packing is not something I know much about:) In fact I have never moved a whole house before. I have only moved from a single bedroom a couple times. Thankfully I have a husband who has moved and is taking some of his time to help with the packing:) We started last night even though we don't have to be out until the 24th of this month. We even had Bradyn HELPING!!

My Mom

One year ago on August 13, my mother left this world for one free from pain and sorrow. In July 1994 my mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer the doctors felt they had gotten everything, but they wanted to give her chemo. In November of that year they said that the cancer was in remission. For 12 years that was the answer when she went to have her yearly bloodwork done. In the early part of 2006 she discovered that it was back and this time it had metastasized into her bone along with that they found a tumor behind her left eye. This time she had a feeling she would not be recovering from the cancer. She went through 12 radiation treatments and several rounds of chemo, but at the end they decided not to put her through anymore of that. She got to see her first grandson (Bradyn) on August 7th. We spent the rest of that week with her. We left Saturday afternoon the 12th to go back to KS, we arrived back early morning on Sunday. That evening while getting ready for campmeeting I received the call from my brother with the news. Our emotions ran in several directions we couldn't wish her back because of the pain she was in, but yet we didn't want her to go she was too young, only 49. A song that helped me in the months following was one she and my aunts sang together "He Giveth More Grace"

He giveth more grace as our burdens grow greater,
He sendeth more strength as our labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth His mercy,
To multiplied trials He multiplies peace.

When we have exhausted our store of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere the day is half done,
When we reach the end of our hoarded resources
Our Father’s full giving is only begun.

Fear not that thy need shall exceed His provision,
Our God ever yearns His resources to share;
Lean hard on the arm everlasting, availing;
The Father both thee and thy load will upbear.

His love has no limits,His grace has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto men;
For out of His infinite riches in Jesus
He giveth, and giveth, and giveth again.
